LET US THINK ABOUT OURSELVES

In the name of Allah, the most G racious, the most M erciful

Did you ever stop for a while and asked yourself...
What is going to happen to me the first night in my grave?

What have I prepared for death?

Will I be in heaven or Hell fire?
How often do I remember death?
Think about the moment your body is being washed and prepared to enter your grave...

Think about the day people will be carrying you to your grave..

and your families crying.. think about the moment you are put in your grave

Just imagine.. imaging yourself in your grave..down there in that dark hole...

ALONE... it's too DARK... you cry for help, but there is no answer... Nobody can help you... it's too NARROW.. your bones are squashed...

You regret all the bad things you've done during your life... you regret missing the 5 PRAYERS
you regret listening to music
You regret your disrespectful manners towards everyone, especially your parents..
you regret not wearing your hijab
You regret ignoring the orders of ALLAH..
YOU REGRET IGNORING THE KNOWLDGE OF ISLAM
YOU REGRET ALL THE BAD THINGS YOU'VE DONE..
THERE IS NO ESCAPE.. YOU WILL FACE YOUR PUNISHMENT FOR EVERY LITTLE THING YOU'VE DONE...
You are ALONE in your grave only with your DEEDS..no money, no jewelries, nothing.. ONLY YOUR DEEDS..

AND WHEN IT IS SHUT,

YOU FEEL LIKE SCREEMING AND TELLING EVERYONE NOT TO GO.. TO STAY BESIDE YOUR GRAVE

BUT, YOU CAN'T BE HEARD.. THEY LEAVE YOU AND GO AND YOU HEAR THEIR FOOTSTEPS.. AND HEAR THEM CRYING THEY WALK AWAY ...
AND THEN TOTAL SILENCE

YOU THOUGHT YOU WOULD LAST FOREVER IN THIS WORLD, YOU THOUGHT YOU WILL STAY WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILIES FOREVER... YOU THOUGHT YOU WILL HAVE FUN FOREVER... NO

YOU WERE WRONG!!!

THEY LEFT YOU ALONE...
JUST SPEND FEW MINUTES AND LOOK AT YOUR FUTURE HOMES... AND SPEND THE WHOLE OF YOUR LIFE PREPARING FOR THEM...

YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO IGNORE THIS, YOU NEED TO REMEMBER THIS EVERY MINUTE, EVERY HOUR, EVERY DAY..
EVERYTIME YOU ARE ABOUT TO COMMIT A SIN, REMEMBER THE DESTROYER OF PLEASURES:

DEATH

A Wise Young Muslim Boy

Many years ago, during the time of the Tâbi'în (the generation of Muslims after the Sahâbah), Baghdâd was a great city of Islam. In fact, it was the capital of the Islamic Empire and, because of the great number of scholars who lived there, it was the center of Islamic knowledge.

One day, the ruler of Rome at the time sent an envoy to Baghdâd with
three challenges for the Muslims. When the messenger reached the city, he informed the khalîfah that he had three questions which he challenged the Muslims to answer.

The khalîfah gathered together all the scholars of the city and the Roman messenger climbed upon a high platform and said, "I have come with three questions. If you answer them, then I will leave with you a great amount
of wealth which I have brought from the king of Rome ." As for the questions,
they were: "What was there before Allâh?" "In which direction
does Allâh face?" "What is Allâh engaged in at this moment?"

The great assembly of people were silent. (Can you think of answers to these questions?) In the midst of these brilliant scholars and students of Islam was a man looking on with his young son. "O my dear father! I will answer
him and silence him!" said the youth. So the boy sought the permission of the khalîfah to give the answers and he was given the permission to do so.

The Roman addressed the young Muslim and repeated his first question,

"What was there before Allâh?"

The boy asked, "Do you know how to count?"

"Yes," said the man.

"Then count down from ten!" So the Roman counted down, "ten, nine, eight, ..." until he reached "one" and he stopped counting.

"But what comes before 'one'?" asked the boy.

"There is nothing before one- that is it!" said the man.

"Well then, if there obviously is nothing before the arithmetic 'one', then how do you expect that there should be anything before the 'One' who is Absolute Truth,
All-Eternal, Everlasting- the First, the Last, the Manifest, the Hidden?"

Now the man was surprised by this direct answer which he could not dispute. So he asked, "Then tell me, in which direction is Allâh facing?"

"Bring a candle and light it," said the boy, "and tell me in which direction the flame is facing." "But the flame is just light- it spreads in each of the four directions, North, South, East and West. It does not face any one direction only," said the man in wonderment.

The boy cried, "Then if this physical light spreads in all four directions such that you cannot tell me which way it faces, then what do you expect of the Nûr-us-Samâwâti-wal-'Ard: Allâh- the Light of the Heavens and the Earth!? Light upon Light, Allâh faces all directions at all times."

The Roman was stupified and astounded that here was a young child answering
his challenges in such a way that he could not argue against the proofs. So, he desperately wanted to try his final question. But before doing so, the boy said,

"Wait! You are the one who is asking the questions and I am the one who is giving the answer to these challenges. It is only fair that you should come down to where I am standing and that I should go up where you are right now, in order that the answers may be heard as clearly as the questions."

This seemed reasonable to the Roman, so he came down from where he was standing and the boy ascended the platform. Then the man repeated his final challenge, "Tell me, what is Allâh doing at this moment?"

The boy proudly answered, "At this moment, when Allâh found upon this high platform a liar and mocker of Islam, He caused him to descend and brought him low. And as for the one who believed in the Oneness of Allâh, He raised him up and established the Truth. Every day He exercises (universal) power (Surah 55 ar-Rahmân, Verse 29)."

The Roman had nothing to say except to leave and return back to his country, defeated. Meanwhile, this young boy grew up to become one of the most famous scholars of Islam. Allâh, the Exalted, blessed him with special wisdom and knowledge of the deen. His name was Abu Hanîfah (rahmatullâh 'alayhi- Allâh have mercy on him) and he is known today as Imâm-e-A'zam, the Great Imâm and scholar of Islam.

May Allâh shower some of His Mercy in the same way upon our Muslim children who are growing up today. Âmeen.

I woke up this morning

I Woke up this morning.... lying in bed, I was asking myself.... what are some of the secrets of success in life? I found the answers right there, in my very room. The fan said : be cool. The roof said : aim high. The window said : see the world. The clock said : every minute is precious. The mirror said : reflect before you act. The calendar said : be updated. The door said : push hard for your goals. "If you do, you will, but if you don't, you won't. If you're not able, you don't have to....Good morning and do have a fun filled day...!

the old man and his son

An old man lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Quran.

His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could. One day the grandson asked, "Baba, I try to read the Quran just like you but I don't understand it,

and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Quran do?"

The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, "Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water." The boy did as he was told,

but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, "You'll have to move a little faster next time," and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again.

This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead.

The old man said, "I don't want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You're just not trying hard enough," and he went out of the door to watch the boy try again.

At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got back o the house.

The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty.

Out of breath, he said, "See Baba, it's useless!"

"So you think it is useless?" The old man said, "Look at the basket."

The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out.

"Son, that's what happens when you read the Quran. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and out. That is the work of God in our lives."

PASS IT ON.

REMEMBER WE HAVE LIMITED TIME TO ACHIEVE GREAT SUCCESS IN THIS MORTAL LIFE!!!

Lets observe our salat as directed by the Prophet (SAW)

Lets observe our salat as directed by the Prophet (SAW)

Common Errors in Prayer That MUST Be Avoided:-
1. Reciting Surat al-Fatiha fast without pausing after each verse.
The Prophet (SAW) used to pause after each verse of this surah. (Abu Dawood)

2. Sticking the arms to the sides of the body, in rukoo' or sujood, and sticking the belly to the thighs in sujood. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Let not one of you support himself on his forearms (in sujood ) like the dog. Let him rest on his palms and keep his elbows away from his body." ( Sahih Muslim)
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) used to keep his arms away from his body during rukoo' and sujood that the whiteness of his armpits could be seen ( Sahih Muslim).

3. Gazing upward during prayer. This may cause loss of concentration. We are commanded to lower our gaze, and look at the point at which the head rests during sujood.
The Prophet (SAW) warned: "Let those who raise their gaze up during prayer stop doing so, or else their sights would not return to them. [ i.e. Lose
their eyesight]. " ( Muslim)

4. Resting only the tip of the head on the floor during sujood. The Prophet (SAW) said: "I am commanded to prostrate on! seven bones the forehead and the nose, the two hands [palms],the two knees, and the two feet." ( Sahih Muslim)
Applying the above command necessitates resting the forehead and the nose on the ground during sujood.

5. Hasty performance of prayer which does not allow repose and calmness in
rukoo' or sujood. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) saw a man who did not
complete his rukoo' [bowing], and made a very short sujood [prostration]
;he(SAW) said: "If this man dies while praying in this manner, he would
die upholding a religion other than the religion of Muhammad."

Abu Hurairah (RA) said:"My beloved friend, Muhammad (SAW) forbade me to perform postures of prayer copying the picking of a rooster; signifying
fast performance of prayer), moving eyes around like a fox and the sitting
like monkeys ( i.e. to sit on thighs)." (Imam Ahmad & at-Tayalisi)

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "The worst thief is the one who steals
from his own prayer. People asked, 'Messenger of Allah! How could one steal from his own prayer?' He(SAW) said: "By not completing its rukoo' and sujood."(At- Tabarani & al-Hakim).To complete rukoo' is to stay in that posture long enough to recite 'subhana rabbiyal Adtheem' three times, SLOWLY, and'subhana rabbiyal-a'ala' three times, SLOWLY, in sujood.

He (SAW) also announced:” He who does not complete his rukoo' and sujood, His prayer is void." (Abu Dawood & others)

6. Counting tasbeeh with the left hand The Prophet (SAW) used to count tasbeeh on the fingers of his right hand after salah.
lbn Qudamah (RA) said: "The Messenger of Allah (SAW) used his right hand for tasbeeh." ( Abu Dawud)
The above hadeeth indicates clearly that the Prophet (SAW) used only one
hand for counting tasbeeh. No Muslim with sound mind would imagine that the Prophet (SAW) used his left hand for counting tasbeeh.
Aa'ishah (RA) said that the Prophet (SAW) used his left hand only for
Istinjaa', or cleaning himself after responding to the call of nature. He
never used it for tasbeeh.

Yasirah (RA) reported: The Prophet(SAW) commanded women to count tasbeeh on their fingers.
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "They (the fingers) will be made to
speak, and will be questioned (on the Day of Resurrection)" (At-Tirmithi)
The above hadeeth indicates that it is preferable to count tasbeeh on the
fingers of the right hand than to do so on masbahah (rosary) .

7. Crossing in front of a praying person.
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) warned: "Were the one who crosses in front of a praying person to know the consequences of doing so,he would have waited for *forty better than to cross in front of him."(Sahih Bukhari and Muslim).

*The forty in the tradition may be days months or even years. Allah knows best.

Please keep forwarding, May Allah accept our dua and make us dwellers of Aljanah.
